we recognize the immense challenge this choice can pose for insured clients who are hoping to utilize their benefits to decrease the burden of therapy costs. unfortunately, working with insurance companies adds a third party to the therapy session; a third party whom has the power to limit, dictate, observe and pass judgement about clients’ treatment. while they are an ‘invisible observer’, they are still granted access to client documentation, diagnostic information and often will reject claims based on their own judgements about a clients need for treatment or validity of holistic and body-based treatment methods. healing from trauma requires clients to participate in treatment that is choice-based, empowering and intimate. in our experience, inviting insurance companies into our therapeutic work increases potential for re-traumatization and contradicts what it means to be truly trauma-informed.

we are happy to offer our clients who opt to pay our full session rate a “SuperBill” which they can submit to their insurance company to access potential out of network benefits. we accept payment via debit/credit cards + HSA’s.
